Mob kills 9 suspected vampires in Malawi

Malawian police have reported that no less than 140 people have been arrested following deadly mob attacks on suspected "vampires" in the country. Sky News reports that there have been at least nine killings, including that of an epileptic man who was reportedly burnt to death and another stoned to death in one of the country's biggest cities, Blantyre. ALSO READ: 2 men burnt to death in Cross River over alleged witchcraft According to the reports, the assaults started in September following rumours of "bloodsuckers" on the loose. The police say that the situation has quickly spun out of control. Illegal roadblocks have been set up by mobs, which has led to security concerns in the southern African country. Some residents have said that their homes have been destroyed following speculations that they were giving aid to vampires. TAGBO’S DEATH: DAVIDO’S MEN CONFESS

Thelast has not been heard of the controversy surrounding the death of Tagbo Umeike , friend to Nigerian pop star David Adeleke, popularly called Davido, as the other suspects who were detained by the police have given an insight into what  actually happened the night Tagbo died. Reports credited to the Lagos State Police Command had revealed that Tagbo had a night of heavy drinking and allegedly consumed about 40 shots of Tequila, a strong alcoholic beverage.  He was alleged to be in company of  his friends, including Davido, before his body was abandoned at Lagos Island General Hospital in the early hours of October 3. The news of his death was made known to the public following the outcry of Umeike’s girlfriend, Nollywood actress Caroline Danjuma, who accused Davido of abandoning his friend. Things took a speed of light turn for Davido who transformed from being celebrated for his large following on Instagram to now being linked in the death of a friend named Tagbo. It appeared the social media platform can also be his Achilles heel based on a series of allegation made by actress Caroline Danjuma accusing the pop star of abandoning the deceased at an undisclosed hospital. play Tagbo reportedly died in company of Davido and his crew. The light-skinned movie star questioned him about the series of events that led to the death of the subject. She further berated him for returning to a gig and promoting his show despite the sad incident. Evans Hangs Himself After Killing Girlfriend and Parents

A man in Louisiana, U.S., Jatory Evans, has hanged himself after been accused of killing his pregnant girlfriend and fatally shooting her parents. The 29-year-old Evans also burned down their house. Reports quoted Jefferson Parish Coroner Dr Gerry Cvitanovich as saying that the 29-year-old Evans hanged himself on Wednesday at the Jefferson Parish Jail. Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office spokesman Glen Boyd said he was found around 4:25 p.m. and pronounced dead later. Authorities in Louisiana say Evans stabbed his estranged girlfriend, 20-year-old Sydney Hanson, in the bedroom of a home on Nov. 7 before igniting the room while she was still alive. Hanson was seven months pregnant. Evans is also accused of shooting and stabbing Hanson’s mother, Samantha Hanson, and shooting her father, Dwayne Hanson, in the head. Cvitanovich says his office will conduct an autopsy on Evans.
