Wizkid enters Guinness World Book of Records 2018

NIGERIAN pop star, Wizkid, has become the first Afro-pop artiste to appear in the Guinness Book of World Records. This is as a result of  his contribution to Canadian rapper, Drake’s smah hit, ‘One Dance’, which topped several charts worldwide.

Although the song is technically Drake‘s single, Wizkid has songwriting credits for the ‘One Dance’ which has the Guinness World Record as the most played song on Spotify with over one billion streams. The 2018 edition of the Guinness World Record named Wizkid in its most recent book.

Chelsea star chooses to play for Nigeria over England for 2018 World Cup

Tammy Abraham is set to snub England for Nigeria in a bid to play at next summer's World Cup , a top official has claimed. Abraham, who played for England's Under-21s during this summer's European Championships, is eligible for selection by Nigeria, his father's home country. The Chelsea striker, who is spending the season on loan at Swansea, has not played a senior international with England, meaning that he can still choose to play for Nigeria. With a three point lead in their group and just two games remaining, Nigeria are in poll position to qualify for the finals next summer. Amaju Pinnick, the president of the Nigerian Football Federation, is a close friend of Abraham's father having grown up with him in the southern town of Warri.
